Museumica started at a cluttered desk between specimen jars and a magnifying glass — not in a boardroom.
Our story
Years of collecting, and one missing tool.
After decades of collecting minerals, fossils, insects and curiosities, we kept running into the same problem: spreadsheets that aged badly, photos lost in folders, provenance notes scattered across notebooks, and no good way to share a cabinet with fellow collectors.
We tried every museum CMS and every generic inventory app. None of them spoke our language. So we built the tool we wished we had — meticulous about provenance, beautiful in presentation, and gentle enough for a Sunday afternoon of cataloguing.
Museumica is that tool. Made by collectors who still spend their weekends behind a loupe.
